About Us
Our Office
Created For Motion was established in Quincy, IL in 2015. We strive to provide the best healthcare possible by educating our patients and keeping them informed. Our mission is to help our patients reach their full potential. We bring a different approach to our office by offering hands on, evidence-based, patient centered care.
This is where we bring together all of our training and treatments to meet and exceed our patients’ health goals. We are created to move as human being and being able to move correctly is what keeps us going throughout our daily lives. Our motto, is Move Better, Feel Better. We work to redefine healthcare, improve performance, and help prevent injury.
What to Expect
As a new patient, your first visit will last about an hour and 15 minutes. This includes a full comprehensive history, physical exam (including range of motion assessments, orthopedic tests, neurological assessment, and more depending on your specific complaint), functional assessments, an adjustment (if indicated), and your specific treatment plan.
Follow up visits are 20-30 minutes long depending on your specific treatment plan and condition.
Co-care and Imaging Studies (Referral, X-ray, MRI, etc.)
We do not do any imaging at our office, but we refer out to a local imaging center for our images. Often, we have results within 24-48 hours. Co-treatment or a referral will be done on an as needed basis or as requested.
Phase 1: Relief Care
The first few visits will focus on your complaints/symptoms to reduce them. This often involves looking at daily ergonomics, changing simple things throughout your day that aggravate your symptoms, and giving simple take home exercises that help you improve faster. This phase lasts several weeks, depending on your condition and other factors.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
Once your pain is at a tolerable level, we move into this phase. Phase 2 looks at how your body functions on a day to day basis and helps correct the problem that brought you in our office. This phase helps the muscles and soft tissues heal even further. Often if care is stopped too soon during any phase, re-injury becomes more likely.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Many patients love the way they feel once they start being treated on a regular basis. Often many continue into “wellness” care to help keep themselves healthy and moving correctly. This plan depends on the person but often is 1-2 times a month.
